Wells-Kennedy Partnership
Following the closure of the former Belfast City Organ Pipe Works in 1997 on the retirement of the proprietor Mr Doug Loker aged 78, the equipment and remaining stock were aquired by the Wells-Kennedy Partnership Ltd, Lisburn. As the only metal pipemaking and repair facility in the whole of Ireland it was considered regrettable, not to say inconvenient, if this specialist skill was allowed to die out altogether. Employing at present Robert Stewart, a skilled pipemaker, the firm operates as a division of Wells-Kennedy, trading as WK Pipecraft. Enquiries are welcome for quality flue pipes and pipemaking services. Individual requirements will be carefully respected with attention to detail in every aspect. As a further facility the firm can also offer pipes prepared or voiced in accordance with specified instructions. Contact WK Pipecraft at 85 Gregg Street, Lisburn, Co. Antrim, BT27 5AW, Tel. (028) 9266 4257, Fax. (028) 9260 3722, E-mail wellskennedy@dnet.co.uk
